RC4WD presents: Super Scale Race Series 2016 STANDINGS

Each event will need the results submitted no later than Tuesday of the following week. Standings will be updated by Friday. Drivers can attend as many of these events as they like but to qualify for the top spots they will need to have no less than 3 solo events and 3 team events completed. Every driver will have their worst scores tossed out and the best 6 (3 of each class) tallied for the final score.

Using our score system, here is a sample of how this will work:

Placing Points:

First place: 20 points
Second place: 15 points
Third place: 12 points
Fourth place: 9 points
Fifth place: 6 points
Sixth place: 3 points
Participated: 1 point
DQ (disqualified) = 0 points

DNF/DNS = 0 points

Sample season results: Solo Team Solo Team Solo Team Solo Team Total

Scott "Amazeballs" Ewing 20 15 6 9 1 12 3 no show 66 - 1 = 65

Scott's worst Solo score was a 1 and worst team score was a no show. Those get thrown out. This scoring allows for drivers to skip at least 1 of each type of event if they just feel like it, perhaps have an emergency, are late to the event, get a DQ that day, etc. Should a driver miss several events, they will have DNS (did not start) show up in the box for their results that race.

Event Number 1:

May 8th 2016 at Blackfoot RC Park. Bonus points for pictures submitted to FB group showing your truck beside a trail marker from the race.

Bonus Points Event "Camo Trophy":

May 15th 2016 in Drumheller. Particpants were informed at the May 8th event that if they went and supported the Camo Trophy event put on by Chris and Will Rappel that they would get a bonus 15 points. I mentioned that they should get a picture of their truck beside either Chris or Wills truck. What I didn't mention was that picture was worth 5 points. Attending was 15 so a total of 20 if you did it.

Event Number 5:

July 10th 2016 at Beaver Damn flats in Calgary. The event seen 45 gates set up partially by Joe and Scott and the majority via Tyler. Thanks Tyler for your help as always and in the take down. The course was wet from a previous rain making things a bit tricky but over all the course was not too difficult. There was of course a few spots which caused many of us grief. We had the RC4WD/AsiaTees trail marker photo opportunities for bonus points on the trail and a well hidden Bigfoot worth 10 points if you took a picture with it. There was a killer 30 point bonus gate which it seems nobody opted to try except for Russ and Jared. Russ almost got it and Jared did. So, Jared got 30 points and Russ lost 30. Good on you for at least trying Russ!

Event Number 6:

August 7th featured a Team event at Blackfoot RC park in Calgary AB. We had 15 people show up on a potentially rainy day to race. We had another half dozen or more come to spectate which was excellent. The rain never showed up until right at the end. The RC gods smiled down on us for this event. The course itself featured 68 gates, several bonus photo opportunities, a hidden Bigfoot to find and take a photo with and over all was extremely technical.

Event Number 7:

August 30th was the last team event for the season. It was held at Blackfoot RC park in Calgary AB and seen 18 drivers plus some spectators. The event had some killer bonus point sections which took out 4 trucks (DNF's) and was supposed to put the brakes on our leaders so that maybe some of the folks behind in points could catch up. It didn't play out that way. Our leaders jumped at the challenges and completed them. Well done. Thanks go out to people who helped judge and to our visiting competitors who drove many hours to get here from both south and north of the city. Cheers!
