RC4WD Super Scale Race Series #4 Results: June 26th Team driver event

This event took place at Harvie Passage on the East side of the river and featured 66 gates to navigate worth 330 points. There was a do or don't type bonus worth 30 points where you had to go back through the last 3 gates you did but in reverse. Some did and some didn't take the challenge. There were photo op bonus points available as usual. This time we had some RC4WD/AsiaTees scale trail markers with various points for each one given. Drivers were to take a picture of their rig next to these markers and submit to FB. Lastly there was a Sasquatch trail marker which indicated somewhere nearbye was the ever elusive Bigfoot. Taking a photo of it with your truck was worth 10 points. A total of 55 photo bonus points was available.

We had mild rain and a mix of sunshine and clouds but the temperature was muggy and warm. All in all the course was a great challenge. Thanks To Tyler for setting it up and assisting with the take down later on. Same for those drivers who also chipped in and assisted.

And now on with the points...

We tallied each team sheets and took the best score had by either driver on that team.

The scribble sheet:

Divers sheets:

First place Damian and Kiara. Damian scored a 350 out of possible 360

In 2nd we had a tie. Jared and Joe vs Brendon and Luke. To break the tie (for prize give aways) we played a hand of poker. Jared and Joe won. Both teams get the points for placing 2nd however.

In 3rd was Brian and Chris. Chris ran a perfect course but didn't take the 30 point challenge.

In 4th were the two Bob's

5th went to Scott and Grant. Grant lost his servo 3/4 of the way into the race and had a DNF even after attempting some trail repairs. Scott finished the remainder of the course solo with a judge looking on.

6th place went to Russ and Madeson

RC4WD Presents... Super Scale Race Series #4... Team driving

Location: Harvie Passage East side
Do not park in front of the gate or the sandbox. Parking will be tight so please park creatively so we can get as many in as possible.

Staging and tech check in will be done in the parking lot. Once ready to go we will hike for about 5 minutes to the start line

Remember, this is a team event so you will be partnered up randomly and need to work together for rollovers or tow outs. There is no G6 style tow outs or roll overs.

RC4WD Presents... Super Scale Race Series event #3... Solo Driver

This is the 3rd of 8 events in the Super Scale Race Series sponsored by RC4wd and co-sponsored by AsiaTees, brought to you by One10RC4x4 and hosted by Krazy Joe of Rude Boyz RC Club. This event is a solo driver event. We will do truck check in's at 10 am and racing hopefully by 11. This race will be graciously hosted by Russell Darling at his home. Please be respectful of parking and noise levels.

Joe and I (Scotty) look forward to seeing you all soon so we can get our scale on.

From Russ:
For those that are coming to the June 12 event at my place (Russell Darling). Address is, 56 Erin croft place se. Parking sucks in front. But the alley has plenty. And just a reminder. Water proofing is definitely recommended although we will try to keep competition lines to no more than axle depth. And feel free to hang out after so bring a couple of trucks if you wish.
